Sermon Title: Having Faith that Grows
Scripture Text: Matthew 17: 14 – 20
Introduction
Faith is believing. Faith is trusting. Faith in Jesus is trusting the very words of Jesus.
Explanation
1) The authority to cast out demons, to heal every disease and sickness comes from Jesus. It is given by Jesus.
2) This authority that is given by Jesus must be exercised by faith.
3) And faith must be cultivated through spiritual disciplines such as prayer and fasting.
Final Word
Jesus sends us out with authority. Let us learn to cultivate our faith so that we may exercise the authority given to us by faith.
Reflection Question
1) Do you believe that Jesus has given you the authority to do His work of healing and deliverance?
2) How can you intentionally cultivate your faith in Jesus?
