Sunday, (Apr 27) – As we have just celebrated Good Friday and Easter, pray that we will remember the significant privileges associated with our new life in Christ: a) we will be thankful for our personal access to God through Christ, and we will draw near to Him in our times of need; b) we will grow in faith, overcome doubts and questions, and deepen our relationship with God; c) we will enjoy encouragement from one another, and worship together as God’s family; d) we will work together to make our church a healthy, loving and caring church that will attract non-believers to the Lord
Monday, (Apr 28) – Praise God that the Recovery Network Centre will begin on May 1, 2014, and that UNHCR has recognized the setting up the Centre. Praise God that so far 25 children have registered to come to the Centre, and the Centre has sufficient teachers and volunteers. Pray for wisdom for the committee as it deals with any teething problems that may arise. As UNHCR will be coming on May 5 to inspect the Centre, pray that everything will go well, and the Centre will receive the seal of approval from UNHCR, and officially come under its umbrella. Pray for wisdom from God as the committee looks into the setting up of a trauma counselling unit during the weekends. Pray for unity among the committee members as they work together, and that they will work well with our Community Services Ministry who will be overseeing the work of Recovery Network.
Tuesday, (Apr 29) – Pray for the World: Pray for South Korea as the nation mourns the lives that were lost in the ferry disaster on April 16, 2014, many of which were students and teachers from a high school. Wednesday, (Apr 30) – 8 persons (David & Shakutala Abraham, Jimmy Ng, Low Ong Hoon, Cathy Wong, Henry Soon, Patricia Chiang & Stephanie Tan) will be going to Sabah for Missions from tomorrow (May 1, 2014) to May 5. Pray for good health for all of them, and the Lord’s protection upon all their travelling – by plane, motor vehicle, and boat (to one of the villages). As the main thrust will be evangelistic, pray for God’s anointing upon the team as they share the Gospel, and for the hearts of the pre-believers of the 4 villages that the team will be visiting to be soft and open to the love of Christ. Pray that the team will be a blessing to the people in Sabah.
Thursday, (May 1) – Pray for the Nation: Following a series of fatal bus crashes on expressways nationwide over the last couple of weeks, the Transport Ministry has introduced some new regulations, which include the ban of double-decker buses on hilly routes, that all buses be fitted with seat belts, random drug tests for bus drivers. Pray for wisdom for the Transport Ministry, for swift enforcement of the new regulations, and a proper monitoring system to be put in place as nothing has been done so far despite the fatal bus crashes that have taken place in the past few years.

Saturday, (May 3) – Pray for the Alpha Parenting Children Course which will begin in a few weeks’ time (May 25, 2014), that parents of children ages 0 to 10 will realize the importance of godly parenting when their children are still young, give priority to this Course, and be willing to put aside the time to come to learn about godly parenting. Pray that parents will be able to find people to look after their children so they will be free to come for the Course. Pray for Raymond & Elaine Tan as they prepare to facilitate the Course that the Lord’s hand and favour will be upon them.
