Sunday, (June 20) – Today we celebrate Father’s Day. We remember and give thanks to the Lord for all fathers, both biological as well as spiritual fathers. Pray for God’s favor and blessings to be upon them. Pray that our fathers will look up to God as they lead and shepherd their respective families. Pray that fathers will walk closely with the Lord and by doing so, they may impart upon their children the importance of seeking first the Kingdom of God. Pray that God will grant all fathers courage and wisdom in all that they do in and for the family.
Monday, (June 21) – Ask God for forgiveness that the first thing on our lips in difficult circumstances is not always praise, but we allow fear and anxiety to take the place of faith in His ability as Lord over our lives. Praise and thank Him for the truth that there is nowhere we can go that is beyond the range of His protection, goodness, grace, mercy, power and comfort which surrounds us every moment of the day. Pray that God will strengthen in us the determination to continually praise Him, especially when life is difficult. Pray that He will grant us a new perspective of whatever circumstances we are in, and a fresh appreciation of His matchless peace as we draw closer to Him.
Tuesday, (June 22) – Even as the full lockdown in the nation has been extended to the end of June, pray that the public will exercise patience and vigilance despite experiencing “pandemic fatigue”, and they will continue to comply with all the SOPs. Pray that God will protect relationships in the home, and families will bear with each other in love. Thank God that the vaccination programme is moving faster and more people are coming forward to be vaccinated. Pray that the authorities will ramp up vaccinations as fast as possible, and that there will be no wastage due to last minute “no show”. Pray that in His mercy, God will curb mutations of the virus, and stop the pandemic from advancing.
Wednesday, (June 23) – Pray for the Nation: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong has called for Parliament to be reconvened as soon as possible. Pray that the government will heed the Agong’s advice to reopen federal and state legislatures so as to prevent a constitutional crisis. Pray that all political leaders will focus on the overall social, economic and political stability of the nation and not be obsessed with gaining political power. Even as many small and medium-sized enterprises are on the verge of closing down, pray for godly wisdom for the government as it reviews all measures and introduce a recovery plan to give more support for these businesses to weather economic challenges in the coming months.
Thursday, (June 24) – Pray for the Orang Asli children from the Raub Hostel who are presently in their homes and are unable to go back to the hostel because of the full MCO. Pray that they will remain safe and healthy. Pray that they will have a desire to continue to learn and will be diligent to attend the online tuition classes. Pray that they will have the initiative to look for internet connection near their homes so they will be able to attend the online classes. Pray against dropouts after the full lockdown when the OA students are allowed to go back to the Raub Hostel. Pray especially that the students will continue to be diligent in the spiritual disciplines and grow in their faith.
Friday, (June 25) – Pray for TRAC: Pray for our TRAC Bishop, Rev. Joshua Khong. Praise and thank God for his leadership and ministry in TRAC. Pray that God will bestow upon him wisdom and courage as he leads the conference. Pray for God’s anointing to be upon him as he continues to preach God’s Word. Pray for God’s protection to be upon him and his family. Pray for his two children, Ruth and Sarah as they pursue their studies abroad.
Saturday, (June 26) – Pray for the World: Israel has a new prime Minister and a new government comprising of a patchwork coalition of various political parties. Pray that all these political parties will work well together for the good of the nation. Pray that the new government will continue to maintain peace in the Middle East, and strengthen ties with the Arab states.
