Sunday, (Oct 16) – Pray that God would shape our church day by day into the likeness of His Son Jesus Christ. Pray that God will deepen His life within us and that we may be witnesses of the Gospel in a fragile world of tragedy and strife. Pray that God would touch the hearts of all who hear the joyous good news with His abiding love. Pray that lives may be transformed and that the church may never be hindered from witnessing and sharing the good news.
Monday, (Oct 17) – The Church Leaders’ Planning Session 2023 will be held on the 28th & 29th of October 2022. Pray that as the leadership comes together, we will be sensitive to the needs of the church. Pray that God would bring to our attention the areas of ministry that we need to concentrate. Pray for our leadership to be attentive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and pray also that the leadership will remain united in one heart and one mind. Pray that God will instill in our leadership a sense of enthusiasm for the work and ministry of Klang Wesley.
Tuesday, (Oct 18) – Pray for our church members to rise up and step out in faith by giving and supporting missionaries. Pray for our church members who have answered God’s call to join the Missions Department. Pray for brother Agem and his family as they step out in faith to answer God’s call to serve His people. Pray for Pastor Reso and Pastor Noraini as they prepare to mentor brother Agem and his wife in their Christian service.
Wednesday, (Oct 19) – Pray for the Nation: Pray for a spirit of wisdom, discernment, and courage to fall on every voter so that they are not swayed by irresponsible parties bent on distorting the truth or instilling fear, or by freebies and cash handouts. Pray for righteousness to exalt a nation, that our sovereign God will indeed bless our country with righteous leaders and a godly government. Pray for the Malaysian church to pray for the nation both before and after the GE15, that the rakyat will walk together before God in unity and with a pure heart, especially during this critical time of the 15th General Election.
Thursday, (Oct 20) – TRAC – 47th Session TRAC would be held from Friday to Sunday, November 18 to 20, 2022 at Trinity Methodist Church, PJ. Commit to the Lord our Conference Bishop, Bishop Joshua Khong as he presides over the conference. Pray for the Lord’s guidance to be upon him as he delivers the Conference Bishop’s address with clarity. Pray for the Lord’s anointing to be upon him as he leads the entire Annual Conference. Pray for the Lord’s protection to be upon his family constantly as well.
Friday, (Oct 21) – Pray persistently for people around us (family, friends, neighbours, colleagues and so on) who have yet to come to know our Lord Jesus as their personal Lord and Savoir. Pray that God will stir our hearts and give us a burden to pray specifically for them. Pray that God will help us to get to know them better and to provide us the means and opportunities to share His love and the Gospel.
Saturday (Oct 22) – Prayer for the World: Continue to pray for God’s comfort to be upon the people of Thailand, the families and friends of the nearly 36 victims who lost their lives in the nursery attack, 23 of whom were children. Pray for God’s healing upon those who have witnessed such brutal scenes. Pray also for Iran. In the midst of protests and violence, pray for God’s mercy so that no more people will be hurt or killed. Pray for His guidance to be upon the leaders so that the voices of the people can be heard, and peace and order can be restored. Pray that God will keep the Christians courageous and His light to be shine throughout Iran to heal the nation.
