Sunday, (Dec 11) – Pray that we will be intentional in setting aside time to commune and fellowship with Jesus. Pray that as we spend time at the feet of Jesus, we may come to a deeper understanding of Jesus’ love and heart for us. Pray that we may not be consumed with activities and we lose sight of the importance of pausing in the presence of God. Pray that this Advent, we may be intentional in setting aside time to commune and fellowship with Jesus.
Monday, (Dec 12) – Missions – Commit to the Lord the Missions Faith Pledge that is being launched in Klang Wesley. Pray that God would move the hearts of our people to give to the work of missions in our church. Pray also for people to avail themselves as hands and feet for the work and ministry of sharing the good news to those who have yet to come know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Pray for our Missions Chairperson (Mr. Jesse Teh) that God would lead him and guide him as he leads this Missions Committee.
Tuesday, (Dec 13) – Pray that we as the body of Christ will find joy in our current circumstances by remembering the joy that Jesus’ redemption of our lives brings, redemption that is only possible because of his birth, death, and resurrection. Pray that our hearts be forever filled with the joy of Jesus’ coming, as we reflect on the good news of Jesus’ birth and be the voices that proclaim grace and truth. Pray that during this Advent season, we as the body of Christ will experience great and complete joy from the Lord rather than from what is going on in our lives, our world, or the people we are with.
Wednesday, (Dec 14) – Pray for the Nation: Pray for the Prime Minister’s wisdom and breakthrough in rebuilding the country with former political rivals. Pray for Cabinet ministers to begin the urgent task of rebuilding the nation plagued by formulating and implementing effective plans to address current political issues and the rakyat’s socioeconomic well-being. Pray for the healing of our nation’s fractures caused by decades of harmful politicking that has resulted in racial disharmony and divisions, as well as for peace and unity to reign over the country.
Thursday, (Dec 15) – TRAC – We give thanks to the Lord for the recently concluded 47th Session TRAC. We praise God for all that He is doing among the churches in TRAC. We commit to you all pastors who would going on transfer in 2023. Pray for God’s grace and strength to be with them as they prepare to move into their new churches. Pray that friendships fostered in the current churches will continue on as we are one big family in Christ.
Friday, (Dec 16) – Pray for migrant workers and refugees. Pray that God will keep them safe from danger in their daily lives and they will be also treated humanely. Pray that God will provide their daily necessities, especially in light of the rising cost of food and inflation. Pray that God will grant us a compassionate heart so that we can bless and share His love, and they may encounter Christ during this Christmas season far from their home.
Saturday (Dec 17) – The Boys’ Brigade (BB) Enrolment Service will be held this evening. Pray that the hearts and spirits of the boys and their family members who will be coming will be open to the touch of God, and they will be blessed by the entire worship service. Pray that the message will minister to the boys and their families. Pray also for the BB ministry in our church. Praise God for all the officers who are serving faithfully and pray that their ministry will bear fruit in the lives of the boys, so that at God’s perfect timing the boys will experience the love of God.
