Sunday, (Jan 22) – Pray for all our brothers and sisters who are celebrating the Chinese New Year. Pray that as we celebrate the New Year, we may come to a deeper knowledge of who God is. Pray that God would use this festive season to cement all broken relationship within the family, friends and neighborhood. Pray also for those who are experiencing difficulty in life, that they will remember and trust in God and for those who have survived trials and tribulation, pray that they will remember God.
Monday, (Jan 23) – We give thanks for the Training & Equipping Committee of Klang Wesley. We also thank God for the survey that was carried out recently regarding topics in discipleship. Pray that God will lead and guide the committee as we meet to discuss the results of this survey. Pray that we will be able to cater to the needs of the church with regards to discipleship. Pray also that God will continue to instill a hunger for God’s Word in the hearts of our congregation.
Tuesday, (Jan 24) – In the midst of celebrating the Lunar New Year, as the dawn of a new year approaches, let us give thanks for all that we cherish: our health, our family, and our friends. Lord, help us to live the God-conscious way, to live each day in the most loving ways, and to lead the world from darkness to light, from falsehood to truth, and from wrong to right as we release our grudges, anger, and pains, which are nothing more than binding chains. Pray for unity, that be one in Christ, embracing all, may the lunar New Year be filled with God’s blessings of peace, joy and love.
Wednesday, (Jan 25) – Pray for the Nation : Pray for the prime minister’s reformist-emblematic theme “Malaysia Madani” which was recently consecrated as the government’s national philosophy and vision aimed at facilitating progress towards the heights of civilization, encapsulating six holistic and interconnected components; sustainability, well-being, creativity and innovation, respect, confidence and courtesy which will uproot deep-seated corruption, financial mismanagement and social disunity. Pray for the healing of our nation’s fractures caused by decades of harmful politics that have resulted in racial disharmony and divisions. Pray for godly wisdom and harmony as a united government to steer the nation forward.
Thursday, (Jan 26) – TRAC Board of Christian Education – Pray and commit to the Lord the upcoming Webinar on Salvation: Saved for Good?. Pray for the speaker, Bishop Dr. Gordon Wong as he prepares to speak on this important topic of our faith. Pray for good participation from the churches in TRAC. Pray for a sense of openness and eagerness to learn in the hearts of our people as they register for this webinar. Pray also for the webinar to be carried out smoothly with minimum hindrances and hiccups.
Friday, (Jan 27) – Pray for the church baptism & membership class for both adult (starts on Jan.29) and youth (starts on Feb.5). Pray for the Holy Spirit to lead and to provide His wisdom on the facilitators. Pray for the candidates that the Holy Spirit will prepare their hearts and minds, leading them to understanding and conviction that they will take a step of faith to proclaim Jesus as their only one true God and living Saviour, and to make a commitment to be His follower.
Saturday (Jan 28) – Pray for the nations where it is very difficult to profess their faith in Jesus. According to a source, 360 million Christians live in nations with high levels of persecution or discrimination, that is 1 in 7 Christians worldwide. Pray that God will protect each of them and keep every meeting safe. Pray that His Spirit will continue to encourage, equip and empower them to follow Jesus. Pray that God will meet their needs and provide them wisdom, boldness and discernment to know how to express their faith in the places where they live.
