Sunday, (Jan 8) – Help us to know deep down in our hearts that God is always present with us. Pray that God would enable us to experience the nearness of God through the Holy Spirit in our lives. Give us a hunger and thirst for righteousness; fill our hearts with love, overflowing with mercy; make our hearts pure, and give us a vision of your glory. Pray also that God would enable us to be peacemakers and agents of reconciliation in the world we live in.
Monday, (Jan 9) – Worship & Music Ministry – The Worship & Music Ministry is a ministry that enables the congregation to worship God through songs and music and as well as through facilitating the weekly worship services. Pray for each worship leader and their respective team that God would enable them to serve Him together. Pray for a oneness of heart and mind as they work together to facilitate worship. Pray for the joy of the Lord to be their strength as they serve in this ministry. Pray for God’s wisdom to be upon Ms. Hilda Chin as she heads and leads the Worship & Music Ministry.
Tuesday, (Jan 10) – Pray for all God’s people as they enter the New Year with circumcised hearts, renewing their commitment and rededication to walk in Christ with greater humility, faith, hope, and love for Him and His people. Pray that God will do something new in their lives, shaping and transforming their characters to Christlikeness and beauty, allowing them to see the impossible become possible and the unbelievable become believable in this new season of their lives. Pray for supernatural strength and willpower from God to overcome challenges or crises in the coming year, as well as for them to keep their eyes fixed on Jesus and not to lose sight of where God is leading His people in 2023 and beyond.
Wednesday, (Jan 11) – Pray for the Nation : Continue to pray for Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, our Prime Minister, that whatever policies he implements, he will commit to God, trusting that He will put these plans and steps in place to rebuild the nation’s economy and implement structural sociopolitical reforms. Pray that ministers and senators from all coalition parties, particularly the oppositions, will not dwell on the past, but instead strive to work together, putting their differences and ideologies aside, to rebuild the country to its former glory. Pray for God’s righteousness to reign as our government leaders govern the country with justice, mercy, and humility.
Thursday, (Jan 12) – TRAC – We give thanks to the Lord for His provision upon Trinity Methodist Church, PJ that they were able to renovate and refurbish their old sanctuary. As the church comes together for the dedication service of their newly renovated sanctuary on the 15th of January, pray that the church may use the sanctuary for the advancement of God’s work. Pray that the services held in this sanctuary will truly minister to the hearts of the congregation. Pray also that God will use the church to reach out and minister to those who live in their vicinity.
Friday, (Jan 13) – Pray for the first LCEC meeting of this year 2023 that is held tomorrow. As the pastor and leaders wait upon the Lord and seek His direction and wisdom on the ministries and matters pertaining to the church, pray for God’s presence throughout the meeting and His Spirit may unite them as one in heart and mind in our Lord Jesus. Pray for God’s guidance and blessings to be upon brother Noel Lim, as he leads the meeting as LCEC chairman.
Saturday (Jan 14) – Pray for the world, as several regions need to deal with harsh winter conditions. Pray for California in the US, which was recently hit by the severe winter storm that produced strong wind, heavy rain and snow, along with flooding and mudslides. Pray for God’s protection and comfort to be upon the people, providing secure shelter and daily necessities for those who have been affected. Pray for the safety of rescue and restoration efforts. Pray that by His mercy there will be no further danger and risks of rising tides, floods, mudslides and power outages.
