Sunday, (July 11) – Pray that we will approach God with confidence and thanksgiving as He has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing and chosen us before the foundation of the world. Pray that we will use the power He has given us to accomplish the things He has set before us to accomplish. Pray that we will be strengthened in our inner being, so that our faith in Christ will deepen and we will experience the indwelling presence of Christ as we walk with Him each day. Pray that the Lord will help us to understand and live in the limitless love of Christ that surpasses our limited knowledge. Pray that we will offer our prayers to God with faith and gratitude knowing that He is able to do far more than anything we could ask or even think to ask.
Monday, (July 12) – Pray for the Lord’s strength to be upon the church as we continue to face the challenges posed by the pandemic. Pray that despite the difficulties that we are currently facing, the church would be able to experience the love of God in their hearts. Pray that the church would be able to still share the love of Christ creatively in spite of the movement control orders. Pray that people would not hesitate to reach out for help if they have needs and for the church to respond appropriately to the needs around us.
Tuesday, (July 13) – The daily COVID-19 cases continue to be very high, especially in the Klang Valley, with Klang Valley hospitals critically overstretched. Pray for God’s grace and strength for the health frontliners so they will be able to cope with the difficult situation. Pray that there will be sufficient beds and ventilators in the ICUs for patients who are seriously ill. Praise God for the faster vaccination roll-out, and pray for God’s protection upon all the people who are getting vaccinated, and also for strength and protection for all those working in the vaccination centres. As health experts say that the solution lies in a lockdown as strict as the first one, pray for wisdom for the health authorities to make right decisions that will be effective in controlling the pandemic.
Wednesday, (July 14) – Pray for the Nation: Pray that the leaders of our nation will heed the call of the Malaysian business fraternity and the rakyat to keep politics aside and unite in order to avoid the country losing even more lives and livelihoods to the pandemic. Pray that all the politicians will stand united to fight for the people, and not for their own political or personal mileage. Pray that when Parliament reconvenes, all the Cabinet ministers will choose to be united, and when they debate issues, it will be in a spirit of unity. Pray that the ramped-up vaccination rate will not be compromised but will be sustained even as developments in the nation’s political situation heats up.
Thursday, (July 15) – Pray for people who have suffered losses during this pandemic: loss of loved ones, loss of jobs and businesses leading to loss of livelihoods, loss of hope for the future, loss of physical or mental health. Pray for God’s strength and comfort upon them, that He will carry them through this time of crisis in their lives. Pray that the Church will be a beacon of salt and light to the communities in their vicinity, to be sensitive to the needs of people around them, be on the look-out for those who are suffering and extend kindness and care and whatever help they can offer to those who are in distress.
Friday, (July 16) – Pray for TRAC: Pray for all staffs of the churches in Trinity Annual Conference. Pray that God would guide all staffs in our various churches in TRAC. Pray for God’s favour to be upon them as they continue to serve the Lord fervently during this pandemic. Pray for God’s protection to be upon them as they move about attending to matters that may require their physical presence. Pray that all staffs will draw close to God in their daily walk with Him. Pray for the joy of the Lord to be upon their hearts as they continue to serve in their respective churches.
Saturday, (July 17) – Pray for the World: As the COVID-19 Delta variant is causing devastating outbreaks in Asia and Africa and cases are rising again in Europe and the US, pray for wisdom upon the medical scientists and experts as they look into the possibility of a third dose of vaccines to boost its efficacy against the virus variants. Pray also for effective vaccination drives in struggling nations.
